Strengthen your pelvic muscles for urinary health

Urinary Health

The Private Gym Program's guided Kegel pelvic exercises for men can help to alleviate common urinary conditions including post void dribbling, stress urinary incontinence and overactive bladder.

Relief from post-void dribbling

Post-void dribbling or “after-dribble” occurs shortly after completing urination, when urine that remains pooled in the urinary channel drips out, aided by gravity and movement. Pelvic floor muscle contractions are the body’s natural means of expelling the residual urine.

When contracted, the pelvic floor muscles compress the inner urinary channel, pushing out the remaining urine. The Private Gym program can strengthen the pelvic floor muscles to increase the emptying of the urinary channel.

Help for stress urinary

Male Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) is urinary leakage provoked by physical activities including exercising, sneezing, coughing, bending, lifting, and positional change. It most commonly occurs following radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer, although it can also occur after surgery done for benign prostate conditions.

The Private Gym program can have the potential to increase the tone, strength, power, and endurance of the voluntary sphincter muscles to help offset the stress urinary incontinence.

Overactive Bladder relief

Overactive bladder is urinary urgency, frequency and nighttime urination with or without urgency leakage. Although often occurring without apparent cause, it can be triggered by positional changes, exposure to running water, approaching a bathroom, and when placing the key in the door.

Pelvic floor muscle contractions play an important role in inhibiting urgency and urgency incontinence and increasing pelvic floor tone, strength and facility through the Private Gym’s exercises can be very effective for combating overactive bladder.
